Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C
  2. Chop the dates, then put them in a small bowl and just cover with boiling water. Leave for a few minutes.
  3. Mash the bananas in a bowl, then mix in all the other ingredients
  4. Stir in the dates, including their water
  5. Pour the mixture into a lined, 20cm square baking tin and spread evenly
  6. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes
  7. When you remove the flapjacks from the oven, cut them into squares and leave in the tin to cool completely
